Charmion started her modeling journey in 2014 during her senior year of high school. She had always wanted to model but for some reason the thought of modeling that year was more prevalent than ever. She went online and started looking for casting calls. She came across an agency called John Casablancas in Blue Ash, OH. She sent in her information not thinking she would hear anything back.
While Char waited for JC to respond, she continued doing other photo shoots with friends from her school. They believed in her before she ever believed in herself, and she is so thankful for them. A few weeks later she heard back from JC and they wanted her to come to their casting call. Char went with her mom and aunt to audition and made it! From there she started modeling classes and once she graduated high school, she went on to work for the MTM modeling agency. While she was working with MTM she got the opportunity to work in Dallas, TX with her sisters when they all got casted there to model for an expo. They began to plan for Dallas. God was opening every door she walked through.
In order to go to Dallas, Charmion had to raise money to go. She came up short and almost wasn’t going to get to go until her family and strangers started donating and paid the rest of her way last minute. God came through AGAIN! While at the expo she was one of 22 that got picked out of 560 models to model for 2 famous fashion designers. She was the only one from her agency that got picked! She shared this with me not to brag but to remind herself that through her doubts, God continued to show up and His plans for her were all in His hands. She had grown up as a person since then.
Char is now a mom of two and still modeling. She works for Zulily as seen on tv and online. She has been modeling for them for a few years and has moved on to their commercials. She has had the pleasure to walk the runway for amazing local designers and model clothes for local companies and brands. She has now gotten her children into modeling and was even featured in a Zulily commercial together recently. She has met so many awesome people along this journey. Through this journey she was able to meet Elina Lee who would write a book called Inner Success Project and put Char’s life story from foster care to adoption in her book. Chapter 25: The 4 year old survivor. The book is at Barnes and Noble, and etc. Char never knew all of that would happen for her. She is also traveling to Cozumel, Mexico in September to speak about her chapter in Elina’s book and share all that God has done for her and is continuing to do!
