When my brothers invited us to visit in Chicago, I knew I wanted to fuel my passion while we were there! I took to social media putting out a model call. A hand full of names were given to me and among those names was Kacy. Shoutout to our mutual friend Megan for building that connection. Kacy and I reached out to each other almost immediately after the post about the model call was out and quickly began to plan. We were so excited to work with each other, especially since such a good friend of ours recommended it!
The day our session came was the same day we were leaving Chicago to go back to Ohio. We couldn’t plan it any other way but to have my family with me. I usually don’t bring my husband and kids to a session but that’s just how it turned out and Kacy was so easy going and laid back about it. Her bubbly personality and positive attitude was amazing! We loved walking around the city and learning more about her. She’s one of those people you can talk to and feel like you’ve known forever.
Getting to know Kacy
Kacy has been on The Late Night with the Jimmy Fallon Show. She was a dancer and former NHL cheerleader for the Columbus Blue Jackets. It was far and wide one of the coolest jobs she’s ever had! Kacy is also a former television news producer and aspiring sports broadcaster! She said, “I’m really blessed to have great mentors and people in my corner rooting me on as I pursue this. I’ve been lucky to do some amazing things and attend some awesome sporting events so far.”
In her spare time she has a sports blog: KacyAtTheBat.com! Go check it out and follow.
Kacy has been a Cleveland Indians fan since the age of 2! She is attempting to visit all 30 MLB stadiums in her lifetime. So far, she has been to 8!
She also mentioned she has never broken a bone! (knock on wood, no jynxing herself!) She has seen Coldplay in concert twice! It was the best show ever and she would go again if she could.
Kacy loves Jesus and spends a lot of her mornings in prayer and preparation for her day ahead. Kacy hasn’t had the chance to travel out of the country yet but she is dying to go to Italy, Slovenia, and Greece.
Isn’t it amazing how God brings you people in your life, and some you know right away what they are here for?
With Kacy, it was almost like God’s way of reminding me to never regret taking a leap of faith in my own dreams. Something I was so scared to do in the beginning but now everything seems to be falling into place! God has truly brought me some great people along this career path I’ve chosen, and I have been even more blessed that some have turned into really good friends.
Kacy, it was such an honor and privilege meeting you! Not often do we see someone making a plan, going after it, and putting other things on hold to make it happen. I am rooting for success in all of your dreams. Keep going after it Kacy! You’re doing amazing things! Your ‘take action’ attitude and faith in God is opening so many doors for your future. Looking forward to hearing about each one of them!
God is truly working in Kacy, and His light shines everywhere she goes.
